I love the Lakes. I am entranced by Skye. But I’m not sure that there is a landscape I find more captivating than the Yorkshire Dales. Yes, they seem forever to be wet, cold, misty and blustery, so much so that you half expect to see Heathcliff come striding across at any moment.
